David Revett Mize, age 62, of Vancleave, Mississippi peacefully passed away at his home on Thursday, September 25, 2025, surrounded by the love of his family. David was born on June 30, 1963, in Gulfport, Mississippi to Lee Roy Mize III and Karen Rester Mize. After graduating from high school in Minnesota, David enlisted in the United States Army, where he proudly served during the Gulf War. His dedication to his country continued through his service in the Army Reserves and Army National Guard. A lifelong learner, David attended truck master school to become an ASE certified diesel mechanic. He later pursued a career as an electrician, serving in that role until retirement. David was a devoted family man who loved his family wholeheartedly. Spending time with his children and grandchildren brought him much joy and pride. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him. David is preceded in death by his parents, Lee Roy Mize III and Karen Rester Mize. Left to forever cherish his memory are his wife of 36 years, Rhonda Mize; sons, Matthew (Teresa) Mize, Nicholas Mize and Jonathan (Hailey) Mize; grandchildren, Lennon Mize, Elizabeth Mize, Cooper Mize and Carson Mize; brother, Lee (Mia) Mize; and his sisters, Corinna Delbridge and Miranda Mize. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, September 29, 2025, at White Funeral Home in Poplarville beginning at 4:30pm. Friends are invited to join the family for visitation from 2:30pm until the service begins. Burial will immediately follow in Juniper Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.
