Deborah Jean Steinkamp Landry

Deborah, the path to Heaven is paved with hoof prints. At the young age of 13, she was helping train high performance thoroughbreds in the New Orleans and Oak Downs horse tracks. Her keen sense of horsemanship led her horses to several Triple Crown competitions and other horse tracks abroad. Her last days were spent fighting cancer amongst her family and horses.

She is preceded in death by her parents, James F. Steinkamp, Sr. and Anna Esther Blady Steinkamp

Survivors include her brothers: James F. (the late Rebecca) Steinkamp, Jr., Kurt (Tessa) Steinkamp, Louis (Linda) Steinkamp, Gary Steinkamp; sisters: Linda (the late Joe) Maggio, Gale Steinkamp, Darlene (the late Wayne) Dupre, Susan (David) Wunder, Terry (Billy) Harrold, Aileen Steinkamp; and a host of extended family and friends.

Private family services were held by her family at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens on Monday, July 18, 2022.
