Funeral services will be at WHITE FUNERAL HOME, 315 Highway 11 South, Poplarville on Thursday, February 4, 2016 at 3:00 pm. Rev. Walter Pierce and Rev. Brandon Burge will officiate the service. Burial will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be two hours prior to the service.
Mr. Herndon was born August 24, 1937 in Poplarville to Ward Herndon and Mittie Mae Miller Herndon. He was a member of College Heights Baptist Church and a retired Supervisor with Movie Star, Inc.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by one brother, Hilton Herndon and one sister, Lois Boykin.
Family members include his wife, Mavis Dedeaux Herndon; two children, Dennis Herndon (Donna), Ramona Duval; three grandchildren, Chelbie Engle, Hannah Herndon, Breanna Herndon; and one sister, Belvie J. Graham.
