I am so sadden to hear of the passing of Doug. I worked with him as a very young U.S. Customs Special Agent at the New Orleans office. He was one of only a very few who supported females as Special Agents, way back in 1978. He wrote me a recommendation letter when I decided to join the U.S. Air Force as an officer. Doug was a wonderful person, and he affected my life in very positive and supportive ways. My life was blessed by knowing Douglas Strahan. Rest in peace dear man of God. In Christ, Lynda Smith Richardson, Lt Colonel, USAF, Retired

I am so sorry to hear about Doug's passing. He was a kind soul who loved the Lord very much. I got to know Doug better through Cursillo and through the diaconate. My father was also a deacon in St. Bernard. Doug would sometimes come to our house on Sunday afternoons to play Scrabble with Mama and me. Rest in peace, Doug. We will miss you.
