Dustin Michael Gisclair, born on November 5, 1986, passed away on February 15, 2026, at the age of 39. Dustin was a hard worker in every sense of the word. He worked as a mechanic at the port, a proud lineman who never shied away from tough jobs or long hours. Whether he was fixing engines or working high above the ground as a window washer—often 30 feet in the air—he had no fear of heights and no hesitation when it came to getting the job done. Adventurous by nature, Dustin lived for the adrenaline rush. From skydiving to riding his motorcycle, he embraced life at full throttle. As a child, he was involved in just about every sport imaginable, and his dedication carried him all the way to earning a second-degree black belt in karate. He was competitive, driven, and always pushing himself to be better.
But more than anything, Dustin loved bringing people together. He enjoyed hosting holidays, firing up the grill, boiling crawfish, and smoking meat for family and friends. Those gatherings weren’t just meals—they were memories in the making.
He was a devoted fan of the LSU Tigers and the New Orleans Saints, cheering them on with the same passion he brought to everything in life.
Above all else, Dustin loved his family. He loved his children fiercely and completely. He was known as the best dad in the world and the very best “D-D.” His greatest joy was spending time with his daughter, Audie Jean, especially when they were outside together searching for doodlebugs, he also enjoyed spending time with Addison and her cheerleading adventures and quality time with Aiden - precious moments that meant everything to him.
Dustin loved life, and he lived it boldly, fully, and without fear. His strength, his laughter, his adventurous spirit, and his deep love for his family will never be forgotten.
He is preceded in death by his sister, Angel Kennedy; one brother, Benny Gisclair, Jr.; grandmother, Sheila Hopkins and aunt, Ronnie Hopkins.
Left to forever cherish Dustin's memory, his wife, Roxanne Gisclair; parents, Benny Gisclair, Sr. and Cheryl Gisclair; biological mother, Michele Necaise; biological father, Jimmy Hopkins; children, Audie Jean Gisclair, Addison Gisclair and Aiden Gisclair; one step-son, Carter Necaise; one sister, Hope Porter (Matt); one brother, Hunter Necaise (Courtney); numerous nieces and nephews.
