Edna Earl Shive

Mrs. Shive was born February 18, 1916 in Sartartia, Mississippi; was a member of Westwood Baptist Church and First Baptist Church of Poplarville; and retired from the United States Postal Service.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Jurd Lee and Emma Davis Morris; and her husband, David Clinton Shive.

Survivors include two daughters, Alice (Frank) Gennin of Poplarville, MS and Rose Mary Woods of Brandon, MS; two sisters, Elizabeth Hood of Yazoo City, MS and Mary Morris of Jackson, MS; one brother, Tom Morris of Yazoo City, MS; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 2:00 pm, Tuesday, June 4, 2013 at Stricklin-King Funeral Home, 718 Calhoun Avenue, Yazoo City, MS 39194 with Elder Eugene Norris officiating. Burial will follow in Glenwood Cemetery in Yazoo City. The family will receive friends and have visitation from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm, Monday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Clint Woods, Bill Woods, Marshall Boykin, and Andy Gennin.
