Ernest "Soddy" Rogers

Ernest "Soddy" Rogers, 58, of Pass Christian, died Saturday, February 10, 2018 in Memorial Hospital, Gulfport.

Soddy was born November 12, 1959 in Poplarville, Mississippi to Dolphus and Mary Louise Sullivan Rogers. He was a member of Restoration Life Church in Saucier, Mississippi. He married the former Rae Mahl on October 7, 1994.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by six siblings, Mable Miller, Charles Rogers, Roy Rogers, Johnny Dolphus Rogers, Ray Rogers, and Shirley Pullens.

Family members include his wife of 24 years, Rae Rogers; nine children, Shanna Sones, Brandy (Kelly) Sones, Amber (Michael) Prince, Kelly Miller, Jamie (Matthew) Kite, Wesley (Brieanna) Rogers, Nicholas (Samantha) Jordan, Ashley (Dennis) Manieri, Layla Rogers; six siblings, Daisy Smith, Lavern Kleyle, Ernestine (Joe) Montgomery, Tommy (Jawanna) Rogers, Cynthia Morris, Jimmy (Bertha) Rogers; numerous grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.

Services will be at White Funeral Home, Poplarville on Thursday, February 15, 2018 at 11:00 am. Rev. Jason Buras and Rev. Raymond Kelly will officiate the service. Burial will follow in North Spoon Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm, Wednesday at the funeral home.
