Gisela Katharina Lumpkin, 85, of Poplarville, Mississippi died Wednesday August 18, 2010 in Ocshner Medical Center, New Orleans. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Friday August 20, 2010 at White Funeral Home, Poplarville with Brother James McCraney and Brother Jesse Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in Sones Chapel Landmark Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery, Carriere.
She was born May 11, 1925 in Aachen, Germany, a homemaker, and a member of Sones Chapel Landmark Missionary Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband Almond G. Lumpkin, Sr.; two sons, Garry Lumpkin, Jr. and Brian Lumpkin, Sr.; all of Poplarville, Mississppi; five grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by one sister, Agnes Petrie and one grand-daughter, Jennifer Louise Lumpkin.
Visitation is Thursday August 19, 2010 from 6pm to 9pm at the funeral home.
