J. Lavan "J.R." Dedeaux

Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, July 24, 2012 at Red Hill Baptist Church, Poplarville for J. Lavan “J.R.” Dedeaux, 61, of Poplarville, Mississippi, who died Saturday, July 21, 2012 in Gulfport Memorial Hospital. Brother Eddie Hartfield will officiate at the service. Burial will follow in the Head Cemetery.

Mr. Dedeaux was a retired welder with Cooper Power Systems, in Lumberton, Mississippi and was a member of Red Hill Baptist Church. He is preceded in death by his parents, J.L. and Betty Jean Ladner Dedeaux.

Survivors include his wife Kay Shavers Dedeaux of Poplarville, MS; three sons, Gregory Dedeaux, Tony (Jennifer) Dedeaux, and Troy (Felicia) Dedeaux, all of Poplarville, MS; four sisters, Lonnie Jean (Craig) Coldwell of Gulfport, MS, Marsha (Doug) McClendon, of Chattanooga, TN, Martha (Gary) Potter of Gulfport, MS, and Wanda (Mike) Hannon of Gulfport, MS; and six grandchildren.

Visitation will be 9:30 a.m. until the time of services Tuesday, July 24, 2012 at Red Hill Baptist Church, 22 Stone County Road, Lumberton, Mississippi 39455.
