Jean was born on September 6, 1937, to Hollie and Bertha Daughdrill. She was a devoted daughter, sister, mother,grandmother and great grandmother whose life was marked by quiet strength, unwavering love, and deep faith.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her siblings, Howard, Hilbert, Hazel, Marie, and Helen and her beloved granddaughter, Megan Stockstill.
She is survived by her siblings, Jane Parker and Hattie Edwards. Jean’s legacy lives on through her children, who were her pride and joy, Debra (Owen) Stockstill, Rita (Randal) Shaw, and Jim (Shannon) Howard. She is also survived by her cherished grandchildren, Ashley (Amber) Stockstill, Lindsey (Justin) Pender, and Drew (Dustin) Northrop. She especially enjoyed her great grandchildren Tyler, Tristan, Tayden, Archer, Sterling, Lyza Jane, Lawtyn and Ridge. She was looking forward to rocking her great granddaughter Rylee who is due in September.
Mama Jean as she was known by all will be remembered for her warm heart, fun spirit, and the deep roots she planted in the lives of those who loved her. She was a quiet presence with a fierce devotion to family and offering wisdom, kindness, and grace in every season of life.
She leaves behind a lifetime of memories that her family and friends will treasure forever.
Family and friends are invited to attend Jean's visitation on Friday, July 25, 2025 from 12:00 pm until 2:00 pm at White Funeral Home, 315 Hwy 11 South, Poplarville, Mississippi. Funeral services will begin at 2:00 pm. Burial will follow in the Howard Cemetery with Ashley Stockstill, Dustin Northrop, Justin Pender, Scott Spears, Matt Houston, Bubba Thornton and Zac Houston serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are Randall Shaw, Owen Stockstill, Curt Howard and Robert Lee.
