Jeff Alexander Hale Jr.

He went to the be with the Lord on November 19, 2016 passing peacefully at home surrounded by family and loved ones.

Jeff was born in Macon, MS to Jeff A. Hale, Sr. and Maude Hale Lindley. He attended Macon High School and played all sports. He also attended and played football at East MS Junior College. Jeff served as a Corpsman in the United States Navy from 1951-1955. He and Carol Jean Campbell were married in 1955.

He graduated from MS State University in 1958 with a B.S. degree in Business Transportation. Jeff’s career was in Management at Movie Star, Inc. for 34 years, retiring in 1996.

He attended Oak Hill Baptist Church and was a sports enthusiast with a particular passion for salt water fishing and golf. He also enjoyed coaching and mentoring young people in their pursuit of sports.

Jeff is survived by his wife, Carol Hale of Poplarville; children, Jeff Alexander Hale, III (Irma) of Dallas, TX, Jan Carol Hale of Nashville, TN, Samuel Edward Hale (Sonja) and Lindley Anne Wells (Benjie) of Poplarville, MS; grandchildren, Austin (Sarah) and Nicholas Hale (Gina), Christopher (Denise), Sarah Anne (Blake) and Baleigh Wells; and two great grandchildren, Levi Hale and Kennedy Wells.

Pallbearers will be Austin Hale, Jeremy Lee, T.J. Lee, Danny Joe Slade, Benjie Wells and Christopher Wells.

Visitation will be 12:00 Noon to 2:00 p.m. on Monday, November 21, 2016 at White Funeral Home, Poplarville, MS with graveside services to immediately follow.
