Mee Mee was a phenomenal grandmother. She played such a strong role on shaping who I am today. Through action, she taught me strength and selflessness. She also shaped my outlook on food. She was always cooking up something scrumptious! Growing up, I knew that sleeping over at Mee Mee’s meant either grits in the morning or waffles! I remember one morning she tried to give us cereal and we all looked at her like she was crazy. So her and Paw Paw whipped us up some waffles and they were so good! Thank you Mee Mee for everything, you were truly a wonderful person. I love you and miss you so much!

Mom, you were the best mother anyone could ask for....from the love you gave to us as children & then when I got married & then the love of my children. I cherish & will never forget the wonderful memories of all the great camping trips (constantly feeding everyone!!!) , all the great holiday & party gatherings, baking cookies, the mardi gras parades we were in, shopping & all the love & time you gave whenever we needed you. You had the biggest heart & a love for everyone you met. Thank you mom for all that you did for us & for being such a wonderful & kind mother, grandmother, great grandmother & most of all, a friend.......love you mom with all my heart & will miss you dearly.

Ms Jennie was my next door neighbor for 12 years in Arabi, she was the sweetest caring neighbor and friend, she would bake her famous Rum Cakes and treats for my family every Christmas Eve, she was such a kind person with a huge heart and she will be missed.

Shopping at dirt cheap with Meme was always fun! LOL she had Pawpaw running all over the store. She once came home with a whole basket of shoes to give away to her family and friends from dirt cheap. She was always so caring and giving! We miss you Meme!
