Jerry Ann Smith Spiers

Mrs. Spiers was born November 14, 1934 in Poplarville to Robert L. Smith and Daisy Spiers Smith. She was employed with Garrett Industries, Movie Star, Inc.; and operated Spiers Chevron with her husband Fornea. She was a member of Derby Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Varon Fornea Spiers; two brothers, James Smith, Mack Smith; three sisters, Iona Smith, Bobby King, and Valerie Smith.

Family members include two children, Luwanna Mason and her husband Alvie, Billy Don Smith; two brothers, Garland Smith, Larry Smith; five grandchildren, Latisha Beall, Derek (Amanda) Beall, Blake Weyenberg, Paige Spiers, Brandon Spiers; three great grandchildren, Reid Beall, J Short, and Andrew Weyenberg.

Funeral services will be at WHITE FUNERAL HOME, 315 Highway 11 South, Poplarville, MS, 39470 on Tuesday, August 8, 2017 at 11:00 am. Burial will follow in Derby Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm, Monday at the funeral home.
