Kenny Reid

James Kenneth "Ray" Reid, 49, of Poplarville, Mississippi passed away on September 25, 2012 from a heart attack while working in Louisiana. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Sunday, September 30, 2012 at White Funeral Home, Poplarville with Rev. Larry Head and Rev. Ed King officiating and interment following in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.

Kenny was born November 4, 1962 in Poplarville, Mississippi to James Earl and Betty Rae Malley Reid. Kenny was a passionate man. He was always there to help friends and family. He was talkative and never met a stranger.

Kenny is preceded in death by his parents, James Earl and Betty Rae Malley Reid; his brother-in-law, John Dalton Stines; and his son, Justin Ray Reid.

Survivors include his sister, Patrica Gayle Reid Stines; five children, Jon Michael Reid and Wyatt Reid, both of Prairieville, LA; James Kenneth Ray Reid, Jr., Jeremiah James Reid, and Jonah Michael Reid, all of Poplarville, MS; one grandson, Elijah Lawrence Robert Reid of Camby, IN; and his fiancee, Stacey Renee Bond of Wiggins, MS; three nieces, two nephews, and a host of cousins and friends.

Pallbearers will be Jon Reid, Wyatt Reid, Winston Herndon, Greg Herndon, Stanley Hodge, Denzil Pullen, Dan Matthews, and Adrian Dedeaux.

Visitation will be 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m., Saturday, September 29, 2012 at White Funeral Home, 315 Highway 11 South, Poplarville, MS 39470.
