Mr. Leland Wayne Stewart

Funeral services will be 3:00 p.m. Wednesday January 12, 2011 at Spring Hill Baptist Church, Poplarville for Mr. Leland Wayne Stewart, 85, of Poplarville, Mississippi who died Sunday January 9, 2011 in the Franklin County Memorial Hospital, Meadville, Mississippi. Reverend Joe Beach will officiate at the service. Intement will follow in the church cemetery.

A native of Poplarville, Mississippi he was born Saturday May 2, 1925 to Louis Ellis "Pinky" and Beulah Maye Bilbo-Stewart. He was a dairy farmer and a member of Spring Hill Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Jennette Stewart of Poplarville, Mississippi; two sons, Richard Stewart and his wife Barbara of Redlands, California and John Stewart and his wife Audrie of Poplarville, Mississippi; two sisters, Beth Walsh and Mary Jo Stewart, both of Clinton, Mississippi; four grandchildren, Jeremy Stewart, Inge Stewart, Bryan Stewart, and Jewel Stewart; two great grandchildren, Gabriel Stewart and Danica Stewart; two brothers-in-law, Smith Kennedy and Gwen Kennedy; and one sister in Louie Boyd.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by one son, Rodney Stewart; one brother, Lawrence Stewart; one sister, Polly Ray; and one sister-in-law, Ida Belle Block.

Visitation will be Tuesday January 11, 2011 at Spring Hill Baptist Church 75 Powell Road Lumberton, Mississippi 39455 from 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm.
