Leo Stanford

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday July 30, 2011 at the Murray Hill Church of God, Poplarville for Mr. Leo Stanford, 73, of Carriere, Mississippi who died Wednesday July 27, 2011 in the Louisiana Heart Hospital, LaCombe. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

He was a retired Pipefitter with Temple-Inland Paper Mill in Bogalusa, LA; a member of Murray Hill Church of God; and an avid fisherman, hunter, and accomplished race car driver.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Julius and Leona Amacker-Stanford; three sisters and two brothers.

Survivors include his wife, Susan Burge Stanford of Carriere, MS; one son, David T. Jarrell of Seattle, WA; one daughter, Amy Marble and her husband Robert of Carriere, MS; four brothers, Clyde Stanford of Charleston, SC, Archie Stanford of Poplarville, MS, Gary Stanford of Pearl River, LA, and N.L. Stanford of the Crossroads Community in Poplarville, MS; one sister, Cleo Williams of South Daytona Beach, FL; and two grandsons, Brandon Marble and Nicholas Marble.
