Raised in Southern California, Mark spent most of his youth in the desert, competing in motorcycle races with his Dad. After a move to Louisiana, he spent his adulthood hunting, fishing, riding with comrades, and restoring antique motorcycles, for which he won several awards.
A tugboat captain for over 30 years, Mark retired from Stone Fuel. He was preceded in death by his sister, Debra Breaud, and best friend, Steven “Acorn” Williams.
A hardworking and supportive father, Mark is survived by his two daughters, Brandi Davidson and Amber Woods; his brother, Justin Ruttley; his parents; and his stepfather, Joseph Ruttley.
The family invites you to celebrate the life and last ride of Capt. Mark on September 12, 2026, at 12 p.m. The memorial will be held at the Knights of Columbus Hall, 566 Avenue D, Marrero, LA 70072.
