Mark was a devoted Christian whose greatest passion was sharing the love of Jesus. His faith was not simply something he believed. It was the foundation of his life. His conversations often turned to Jesus, and he loved encouraging others in their faith and reminding them of God’s goodness and grace.
Mark was a talented welder who took pride in his work and dedicated many years to his craft. He was also a gifted drummer who loved music. For a season of his life, he faithfully served in church as a drummer, using his talents in worship and service to the Lord.
Mark was always willing to lend a hand to anyone in need. Even toward the end of his life, when his health was failing and breathing had become difficult, he continued looking for ways to help others. Those who knew Mark knew that serving people was simply part of who he was.
Above all, Mark loved the Lord. While his family and friends grieve his passing, they find comfort in the promise of eternal life and in knowing that Mark is now home with the Savior he loved so dearly.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Lymon and Norma Stewart Golmon; his wives, Eva Stewart of 27 years and Susan Stewart of 15 years; and his daughter, Sherry Walker.
Left to forever cherish Mark’s memory are his three children, Angela Rodriguez (Alberto), Becky Archer (Sonny), and Lisa Lamulle; his two sisters, Catherine Dee (the late William Oather Fryer) and Lorrie Gossage (the late Kenneth James Gossage); his five grandchildren, Aaron Rodriguez, Hope Lee (Robbie), Lane Archer, Matt Archer (Jennifer), and Karlee Lepine (James); his six great-grandchildren, Emma Lee, Ginny Lee, Lilah Archer, Hannah Archer, Archer Lepine, and Maddie Lepine; his nephew, Kane Golmon; his niece, Sierra Milrose Zeringue (Jeff); and his four great-great nieces and nephews, Lilli’ana, Jeffery, Azaria, and Johnathan.
Family and friends are invited to attend Mark’s visitation on Friday, June 26, 2026, at White Funeral Home, 315 Highway 11 South, Poplarville, Mississippi, from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. Funeral services will begin at 12:00 p.m. Burial will follow at New Palestine Baptist Church Cemetery, 2336 Palestine Road, Picayune, Mississippi.
