Mrs. Mary Elaine Brown

Funeral services will be 3:00 p.m. Sunday September 26, 2010 at Sanctuary of Praise, Poplarville for Mrs. Mary Elaine Brown, 65, of Poplarville, Mississippi who died Friday September 24, 2010 in Forrest General Hospital, Hattiesburg. Reverend Bill Davidson and Reverend Larry Head will officiate at the service. Burial will follow in Oak Hill Baptist Church Cemetery, Poplarville.

A native of Poplarville, Mississippi she was born May 31, 1945 to Claude and Arretta Slade – Herndon. She was a homemaker and a member of Sanctuary of Praise in Poplarville.

Survivors include her husband of 48 years, Carl Brown; one son, Keith Brown and his wife Lisa; one daughter, Angela Davidson and her husband Bill; all of Poplarville, Mississippi; and five grandchildren, Hannah Nix, Mollie Brown, Brennan Brown, Lana Davidson, and Landon Davidson.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by one sister, JoEllen Herndon.

Visitation will be Saturday September 25, 2010 from 6:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. at White Funeral Home, Poplarville and one hour prior to services Sunday at the church.
