Mrs. Stewart was born February 1, 1922 in Pearl River County, Mississippi to Henry Melvin Gipson and Fannie Sones Gipson. She was a homemaker and retired from Boone's Pharmacy. She was a member of Spring Hill Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Claude Stewart, Jr.; two brothers, R.G. Gipson, Alvin Gipson; three sisters, Zona Stewart, Maidee Hudson, Stella Faulk; one daughter-in-law, Dorothy Stewart.
Family members include two sons, Robert Stewart and his wife, Deborah, Don Stewart; one brother, Alton Gipson and his wife Jean; five grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.
Services will be held at White Funeral Home, 315 Hwy 11 S, Poplarville on Saturday, November 17, 2018 at 6:00 pm. Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery on Sunday at 9:00 am. Visitation will be from 4:00 pm until services, Saturday at the funeral home.
