Michael “Mike” Stollenwerck born in Louisiana is one of four children (Sisters Loanna, Robin, and Vickie) from the marriage of Robert Calvin Stollenwerck and Janis Wilson Stollenwerck. An Airforce family, Michael and his family lived around the world and USA.
In 1992, while working for Bell & Howell, Mike met Angela Seither a fellow employee. They were married in April of 1995 and established their family home in Libertyville, Illinois and began growing their family.
Mike is survived by his 5 children Justin, Blake, Dylan, Jenna, and Tessa. Also a bonus son in law Brandon Spadaro (Husband of Jenna Spadaro), and 6 beautiful grandchildren (Hailey, Ryse, Sofia, Samantha, Everly, and Cyrus)
He proudly served in the U.S. Army ranked Staff Sergeant and later built a long and respected career as a mechanical engineer — a field that perfectly suited his lifelong passion for fixing things and understanding how they worked.
Mike had an unshakable love for cars and could often be found in the garage with a wrench in hand covered in grease. He was the kind of man who never shied away from a challenge, especially if it involved a toolbox and a strong cup of coffee.
Even though he disliked all things shopping, he stepped into a motherly position the best he could when raising his two daughters alone without his late wife Angel Seither Stollenwerck. He loved taking them to shop for clothes they needed and spending time with them on dinner and lunch dates. Most importantly always making sure they were well provided for.
Although he had his soft spot for his girls like any father would, he led and taught his sons in his own unconventional ways how to build, fix and, repair anything they would ever need and successfully raised strong men with integrity, strength, and strong work ethics.
Mike served at the Tabernacle Church in Covington for 13 years and attended/served at College Heights Baptist while he lived here in Poplarville, MS. He was devoted to his faith and found his greatest strength and peace in the love of Jesus Christ.
A funeral service to honor Mike's life will be on Friday, August 29, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. for visiting and service beginning at 11:00 am. It will be held at White Funeral Home in Poplarville, Mississippi. Family and friends are invited to attend and celebrate the life of a man who lived with intention, believed with conviction, and loved with his whole heart.
“But those who trust in the Lord will find new strength. They will soar high on wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not faint.”
Isaiah 40:31
“And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow—not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love. No power in the sky above or in the earth below—indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
Romans 8:38-39 NLT
“Surely your goodness and unfailing love will pursue me all the days of my life, and I will live in the house of the Lord forever.”
Psalms 23:6
