Nelda Jean Daughdrill Mills, 64, of Poplarville passed away on Sunday, December 9, 2018 at her home, surrounded by family.

"Nellie" was born January 12, 1954 in Poplarville to Hershel and Louise Strahan Daughdrill. She was a retired school teacher in Poplarville and Slidell. She was a member of Juniper Grove Baptist Church, being active in the children's ministries. She was a member and former Chairperson of Fundraising Committee and District Vice-President of the Poplarville Womans' Club and active in various community projects.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by two siblings, Glyndol Daughdrill and Margaret Ann Daughdrill.

Family members include her husband of 44 years, Ricky Mills; three children, Ryan Mills, Haley Blanchet (Zach), Lacy Mills; siblings, Gloria Kirkman (Ira), Edwin Daughdrill (Joanne), Harlan Daughdrill (Linda), Don Daughdrill (Diane); grandchildren, Olyvia Blanchet, Annie Blanchet, Sydney Blanchet, and Luna Evans.

Memorial services will be held at Juniper Grove Baptist Church on Saturday, December 15, 2018 at 11:00 am. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

Memorials may be directed to "Paint The Town Pink" in care of the Poplarville Rotary Club.
