Nettie Jones

Nettie Jones departed this life into God's presence on Sunday, June 14, 2026, at the age of 79. She volunteered at the local hospital in the birthing center with the "chain gang", lovingly crocheting baby blankets and always giving to anyone in need. She had a kind and generous heart, touching countless lives with her warmth and compassion. Though she was sweet and gentle, she also had a fiery, stubborn side that made her strong and determined. Nettie loved everyone she met, and in return, she was loved by everyone who knew her. Her kindness, generosity, and spirit will be remembered always.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Sam and Olivia Jones; one brother, Warren Jones and one sister, Barbara Parker.

Left to forever cherish Nettie's memory to her one sister, Barbara "Darlene" Barras and one nephew, Sam Barras (Rachel).

Family and friends are invited to attend Nettie's graveside Service at Sones Chapel Church Cemetery, 715 Sones Chapel Road, Carriere, Mississippi, on Sunday, June 21, 2026, at 2:00 pm.
