Ottis Shelby Amacker

Ottis Shelby Amacker of Poplarville, Mississippi passed away at his home on Sunday, May 25, 2025 at the age of 81. He was born in Poplarville, Mississippi on July 2, 1943 to Shelby and Pearl Jarrell Amacker.

Ottis is preceded in death by three sisters, Myrtis Dittmar, Annie Bae Stines and Ruby Lea Solar; brothers, Otis Lee and John Paul Amacker; his father, Shelby Amacker and his mother, Pearl Jarrell Amacker.

Left to forever cherish his memory are his wife of 59 years, Alice Faye Amacker; daughter, Tammy Pearl Amacker (Dale Paige Jr.); sons, Randy Amacker and Cody Amacker (Jamie); granddaughters, Cassidy Paige and Kaitlyn Schonewitz; grandsons, Lane Amacker and Cole Amacker; and his great-grandson, Remington Necaise.

Funeral services, officiated by Reverend Dustin Hariel, will be held at White Funeral Home on Wednesday, May 28, 2025 at noon. Friends are invited to join the family for visitation from 10:00 am until the funeral service begins. Burial will immediately follow at Juniper Grove Baptist Church Cemetery with Greg Amacker, Shelby Amacker, Lane Amacker, Cole Amacker, Greggory Amacker and Curt Amacker assisting as pallbearers.
