Preston "Pop" Odom

Mr. Odom was born April 3, 1930 in Poplarville to James Benjamin Odom and Mollie Seals Odom. He was a retired Registered Forester with St. Regis Paper Company and was a member of Faith Memorial Baptist Church. He married the former Bernice Lee on November 11, 1950.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by five siblings, Hillman Odom, Johnny Odom, Elvis Odom, Estell Odom, Iona Copeland; and two grandchildren, Robbie Allen and Faith Scribner.

Family members include his wife of 70 years Mrs. Bernice Lee Odom; three daughters, Pam (Gerald) Cooley, Patsy (Dennis) Mansfield, Sandra (Larry) Hall; four grandchildren, Will (Dana) Jordan, K.C. Lee, Lesa (Jeffrey) Lee, Tony (Shannon) Mansfield; seven grandchildren John Lee, Destiny Jordan, Jasy Lee, Preston Lee, Cole Jordan, Jaxon Lee, Kalli Mansfield, Kendall Lee; two great-great grandsons, Parker Lee and Jhett Lee.

Funeral services will be held at White Funeral Home (315 Highway 11 South, Poplarville, MS, 39470) on Wednesday, July 21, 2021 at 10:00 am. Burial will be in Odom Cemetery. The family will receive friends and have visitation from 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm, Tuesday at the funeral home.
