Mrs. Fontenot was a nurse and a member of Bethel Baptist Church.
She is preceded in death by her parents, James Herndon and Jearl Dene Wheat-Hodge.
Survivors include her husband Donovan Fontenot; one son, Jay (Kelvie) Wheat; one daughter, Amie Wheat; two brothers, Don (Monique) Herndon and Clay Hodge; eight grandchildren, Kaleb Wheat, Kylee Wheat, Blaze Wheat, Kace Thompson, Kayden Thompson, Braylen Thompson, Connor Crain, and Kalie Crain; and her stepfather, O'Brien Hodge.
Funeral services will be 10:00 am, September 7, 2013 at White Funeral Home, Poplarville with burial following in New Hope Cemetery. Visitation will be 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm, Friday at the funeral home.
