Robert W. Simmons

Mr. Simmons was born September 4, 1951 to Charles Edward Simmons, Sr. and Katie Helen McCormick Simmons. He was a truck driver and a member of Central Baptist Church in McNeill. He was an United States Air Force veteran. Above all, his Lord, his sons and his grandchildren were most important to him.

In addition to his father, he is preceded in death by two brothers, Billy Ray Simmons, James "Buddy" Simmons; one niece, Cindi Carter; and one grandson, Kaleb Joshua Candies.

Family members include his mother, Katie Helen McCormick Simmons; three sons, Kendall (Tori) Simmons, Kerry (Stacy) Simmons, Keenan (Erica) Simmons; nine grandchildren, James Simmons, Elizabeth Simmons, Destiny Simmons, Alissa Simmons, Jeanie Fasulla, Cameron Simmons, Skyler Simmons, Keenan Simmons, Jr., Declan Simmons; one sister, Patricia Simmons Carter; one brother, Charles Simmons, Jr.; one sister-in-law, Elaine Pitre Simmons; a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Funeral services will be at CENTRAL BAPTIST CHURCH, 20 Sones Chapel Road, Carriere, MS, 39426 on Saturday, August 25, 2018 at 11:00 am. Rev. Billy Galloway will officiate the service. A procession of 18 wheelers will escort the funeral to his final resting place in Lee's Chapel, No 1. Cemetery. The family will receive friends and have visitation from 6:00 pm until 10:00 pm, Friday at White Funeral Home, 315 Highway 11 South, Poplarville, MS, 39470.
