Robert Sullivan, 89, parted from this life to his heavenly home on Saturday, October 17, 2026. Born on June 12, 1937. Robert lived a life marked by steady courage, faithful devotion to those he loved, and a generous, kind-hearted spirit that was felt in both quiet moments and lasting commitments.
Robert pursued higher education with diligence and purpose, earning a degree in geology with a minor in mathematics—a reflection of a bright mind drawn to both the natural world and careful precision.
In 1960, Robert enlisted in the United States Navy, where he served and defended his country for 11 years. As a pilot, he carried his responsibilities with resolve and professionalism, attaining the rank of lieutenant. Following his military service, he worked as a diamond specialist, bringing the same care and exacting attention to detail to his work.
Away from his professional life, Robert found satisfaction in home development and improvement—work that spoke to his practical skill, patience, and the quiet pride he took in building, repairing, and making a place better with and for those he loved. In 1989, he bought land in Poplarville where he built his home for him and his family.
Robert was preceded in death by his father, Michael F. Sullivan; his mother, Helen S. Sullivan; his brother, William E. Sullivan; and his first wife, Kathryn P. Sullivan. Left to forever cherish his memory, his loving wife of 15 years, Georgia Sullivan; two daughters, Kimberly Sullivan Ware and Tiffany Sullivan Victoriano; and three grandchildren, Nicole Marie Ware, Cade Robert Victoriano, and Caysen Kathryn Victoriano.
Family and friends are invited to attend Robert's evening visitation at White Funeral Home, 315 Hwy 11 South, Poplarville, Mississippi, on Thursday, October 22, 2026, from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
His Funeral Mass will be held at Saint Joseph Catholic Church, 12 Bilbo Hill Drive, Poplarville, Mississippi, on Friday, October 23, 2026, at 9:00 am. Burial will follow at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Cemetery, 379 W Seneca Road, Lumberton, Mississippi.
