Roland Emmet Harrell

Roland was born July 3, 1933.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Grace Hariel; his daughter, Wanda Gail Cuevas.

Survivors include his loving wife of 69 years, Leola Mae Harrell; four grandsons, Kevin Channan (Mary Jane) Cuevas, Jared Carl (Jessica) Cuevas, Shaphen Joel Cuevas and Darius Roland Cuevas; nine great grandchildren, Damian Michael Cuevas, Marysa Gayle Cuevas, Kayla (Michael) Stockstill, Jared Landon Cuevas, Alexis Grace Cuevas, Darius Kameron Cuevas, Kendrick Roland Cuevas, Shaphen Tyler Cuevas and Kaden Joel Cuevas; one great great grandchild, Ava Jane Cuevas; one sister, Sue Ladner; two brothers, Joe (Patsy) Hariel and Larry (Doris) Hariel.

Roland was a charter member of Victory Baptist Church. He loved playing his guitar and singing for the Lord. He was an avid bass fisherman. Roland was a loving husband, father, and granddaddy to his family and friends. He will be truly missed by all that knew him.

Funeral services will be held at Victory Baptist Church (25310 Highway 603, Kiln, MS, 39556) on Saturday, January 29, 2022 at 1:00 pm. Brother Rick Moore will officiate the service. Burial will follow in Hester Cemetery (99 Hester Loop, Perkinston, MS, 39573). The family will receive friends and have visitation from 11:00 am until services, Saturday at the church.

Grandsons and great grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
