

Born in New Orleans, Louisiana, on August 19, 1941 to his loving, deceased parents: James Christopher Wahl, Sr. and Adlis ‘Alice’ Morvant Wahl Hogan.
He was raised in different areas of New Orleans, but primarily on the West Bank in Jefferson Parish, Louisiana.
As an adult, lived in Gretna, Louisiana with his late wife, Aida Bacuetes.
Graduate of West Jefferson High School, Class of 1960. Ronald also proudly served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War, where he was a communications specialist serving in Korea. In 1985 Ronald and Aida moved their family Monument, Colorado. There, Ronald worked as a Rural Mail Carrier at the Monument Post Office until he retired in 2004, when his wife got ill with lung cancer. In 2005 he and Aida moved to Poplarville, Mississippi with his daughter, Melissa, and her family.
He is survived by his children Mary Elizabeth McKay and Christopher Joseph Wahl, and their spouses Christopher McKay and Deann Daniels Wahl and adopted daughter Lisa Hamada. Grandfather to 14 grandchildren; Megan Hamada Hodge, (Ethan Jeffery Hodge), Hannah Scioneaux, Dustin Hamada, Kyle Dooley, Karley Scioneaux, Christiana Wahl, Megan Dooley, Kyle Wahl, Evan Scioneaux, Noah McKay, Alice McKay, Tj Wahl, Eli Wahl and one great grandchild; Jude Hodge, whom he adored. Preceded in death by his wife Aida Bacuetes, his daughter Melissa Anne Scioneaux, his parents, James Wahl, Sr. and Adlis ‘Alice’ Hogan; and sibling, James Wahl, Jr., Beatriz ‘Tita’ Smith, Victor Bacuetes, Dalis Bacuetes, Alejandro Bacuetes, Hector Bacuetes, and Teresa ""T.C.'' Buniff. Survived by sibling Leah Wahl, and siblings-in-law Isabel Bacuetes, Myrna Bacuetes, George Bacuetes, Dearly beloved cousin and Uncle to 18 nieces and nephews and innumerable great-nieces and great-nephews. True friend to so many. On countless occasions Ronald and Aida opened their home, family and hearts to anyone who came to them in need. The love of his life was spending time with his wife, family and friends while cracking corny jokes and one liners, also sharing a ‘full moon’. He was happiest when surrounded by family and friends in his home, which was always a joyful cacophony of children's laughter. Also Watching the Saints and Broncos play football with his beer close at hand.
