Roy Rogers

Mr. Rogers was a retired insulator and Pentecostal by faith.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Dolph and Louise Sullivan Rogers; and one sister, Shirley Pullens.

Survivors include one stepson, Jeral Silas of New Orleans, LA; five sisters, Mable Miller, Daisy Smith, both of Poplarville, MS, Laverne Kleyle of Lumberton, MS, Ernestine Herndon of Bay St. Louis, MS, and Cynthia Morris of Sevierville, TN; six brothers, Johnny Rogers of Picayune, MS, Tommy Rogers of Poplarville, MS, Charles Rogers of McNeill, MS, Jimmy Rogers of Poplarville, MS, Ernest Rogers, of Bay St. Louis, MS, and Ray Rogers of Poplarville, MS; and a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Friends are invited to attend his funeral ceremony at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, December 6, 2012 at White Funeral Home, 315 Highway 11 South, Poplarville, MS 39470 with interment following in the North Spoon Baptist Church Cemetery in Derby. The family will receive friends and have visitation from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m., Wednesday at the funeral home.
