Ruby Lee Smith

Ruby Lee was born at home In McNeill, Mississippi on March 10, 1937. She was the tenth of eleven children. She was retired from Movie Star, Inc. with over thirty years of service and was a faithful member and servant of Juniper Grove Baptist Church.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Calvin and Esther Spiers Lewis; her husband of twenty nine years, J.B. Smith; one great grandson, Peyton Ladner; and seven brothers and sisters.

Survivors include three children, Katherine (Pete) Peterson; Selina (Joey) Ladner, Billy Kent (Tammy) Smith; seven grandchildren, Kelvie (Vernon) Culpepper, Kalena (Brad) Wells, Kidron (Rachel) Peterson, Jackie (Jenny) Ladner, Tim (fiance`, Rachael) Ladner, Austin Smith, Ashton Smith; a host of great grandchildren; siblings, Hank Lewis, Dorothy Henry, and Esther Lawrence.

Funeral services will be held at Juniper Grove Baptist Church (289 Juniper Grove Road, Poplarville, MS, 39470) on Sunday, August 21, 2022 at 5:00 pm. Burial will follow in the Smith-Old Steep Hollow Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2:00 pm until 5:00 pm, Sunday at the church.
