Ryan Maynard Smith

Maynard was born April 20, 1983 in Poplarville, Mississippi to Ronnie M. and Sandra Sorrell Smith. He was a production assistant in the movie and television industry in New Orleans. He was a graduate of Hancock High School and attended the University of Southern Mississippi. He loved the entertainment industry, especially his time spent as a cast member at Walt Disney World. Maynard will be sorely missed by all who knew him.

Maynard had a comedic spirit. He was most in his element when making others laugh. Maynard was most happy when others were feeling joy and having fun. Maynard loved deeply and cared for those closest to him.

He is preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Earl Maynard Smith; maternal grandfather, Charles Lloyd Sorrell; and his first cousin, Dustin Lott.

Family members include his parents, Ronnie and Sandra Smith; one sister, Erin Smith; his paternal grandmother, JoAnn Smith; maternal grandmother, Charlotte Sorrell Kelly; a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family, and friends.

Funeral services will be held at White Funeral Home, 315 Highway 11 South, Poplarville on Tuesday, October 29, 2019 at 12:00 pm. Burial will follow in the Smith Family Cemetery. Visitation will be two hours prior to the service.
