In 2001, she moved to Auburndale, FL, to be near her first grandchild. While in Florida, she went to work for Edward Jones. In 2015, she and Bob retired and moved to Wiggins, MS. Sharon considered herself a big child and loved to play cards, board games, color and play corn hole with her grandchildren.

Sharon is survived by her husband Robert (Bob) Morel; her two children and their families: daughter Michelle Morel Cambre, her husband Lucien (Skip) Cambre and their children Courtney Cambre and Robert Cambre; her son Michael Paul Morel, his wife Jessica Ferguson Morel and his children Jade Morel and Johnna Morel; her sister Sandra Greco Bauer, niece Sheri Bauer and grandniece Hannah Bauer; and her very close sister-in-law Joan Morel Carver; plus all of her nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Mass will be held for Sharon on Saturday, May 25, 2019, at St. Luke the Evangelist Catholic Church, 910 Cross Gates Blvd. Slidell, LA 70461. Visitation begins at 9:30 with mass to follow at 11:00. In lieu of flowers, a donation to the American Cancer Society would be appreciated.
