after a 2-year battle with neck cancer.
She was preceded by her father, Samuel Mcdonald JR; mother, Dolores Mcdonald and brother Michael Mcdonald.
Survived by husband of 22 years James Duvic; stepmother, Tally Gros; sister-in-law, Susan Duvic and sister-in-law Diana Bussiere. She had too many nephews, nieces, great nephews and great nieces too list.
Shawn was raised on the Westbank of New Orleans and graduated from Delgado community college as a Culinary Chef. After working many years in French Quarter restaurants she reunited with her father and worked at his restaurant Macs' and Company in Harvey. This is where she was introduced to her husband by Tally.
She moved to Fords Creek permanently in 2012 after being a weekender for 12 years. This move was done after beating throat cancer. She was a great shepherd of the wildlife and loved to photograph it. Her other hobby was to take old broken things like bathtubs, toilets, sinks, BBQ pits, .... etc. and making them into flower beds and vegetable gardens.
There will be a spreading of the ashes into the head waters of Perkins creek (or Mill creek) that runs across the MS property at a later date.
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.whitefuneralhomepoplarville.com for the Duvic family.
