Sherry Lynn Martin Pearson entered her heavenly home, surrounded by the love of her family, on Sunday, February 15, 2026, at the age of 60. Having long looked forward to the joyful reunion she would one day share with her beloved mother, she embraced eternity with peace and faith.
Sherry was born on July 4, 1965, in New Orleans, Louisiana and graduated from Salmen High School. She went on to earn her degree in cosmetology from Paul Mitchell The School. From a young age, Sherry was a resident of Pearl River County and worked as a cosmetologist for many years before dedicating herself fully to her greatest calling—being a mother and homemaker. A devoted and loving mother, Sherry shared her passions for reading and crafts with her children, bible studies and creating memories that will be treasured forever. Her warmth, creativity, and gentle spirit touched all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph and Edna Martin; her sister, Flora Baham; and her husband, Paul Joseph Pearson, the father of her children.
Left to forever cherish her memory are her children, Christian Holden Pearson and Savannah Ann Pearson (Joel Meza); her adopted daughter, Ashley Whitehead; her longtime companion of sixteen years, Sean Dean; her sisters, Norma Jean, Connie, and Debbie; her nephews, Daniel J. Couture (Macy) and Justin Holden Pearson (Malia). Sherry also leaves behind a host of beloved in-laws, extended family and friends.
Funeral services, officiated by Reverend Ken Rhodes, will be held on Tuesday, February 24, 2026 beginning at 1:00 pm at White Funeral Home of Poplarville. Friends are invited to join the family for visitation from 11:00 am until the service begins. Burial will immediately follow in Twin Pines Cemetery in Holden, Louisiana, with Christian H. Pearson, Sean Dean, James Garner, Jennings C. Couture, Daniel J. Couture and Justin H. Pearson serving as Pallbearers.
