Ms. Shirley Elizabeth Long

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, April 5, 2012 at First United Methodist Church, Poplarville for Ms. Shirley Elizabeth Long, 77, of Poplarville, Mississippi who died Monday April 2, 2012 in the Pearl River County Nursing Home in Poplarville. Reverend Jeff Pruett will officiate at the service. Burial will follow in the Poplarville City Cemetery.

Ms. Long was retired from Movie Star, Inc. in Poplarville and was a member and Treasurer at First United Methodist Church in Poplarville.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Frederick Long and Elizabeth Mable “Betty” Long-Krayosky.

Survivors include one brother, Frederick Long and his wife Louise of Pearl, MS; one niece, Karen Wilson of Florence, MS; and several great nieces and great nephews.

Visitation will be 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Wednesday April 4, 2012 at White Funeral Home, Poplarville.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be directed to the charity of one’s choice.
