Sidney J. Arceneaux Jr.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 12 Bilbo Hill Drive, Poplarville, MS, 39470 on Wednesday, October 12, 2016 at 1:00 pm. Fr. Fintan Kilmurray will serve as celebrant. Burial will be private. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service, Wednesday at the church.

Mr. Arceneaux was born January 29, 1940 in New Orleans, Louisiana to Sidney Joseph Arceneaux and Esther Durr Arceneaux. He was the founder of Arceneaux Electric and Engineering Director for the Dominican Sisters of Peace in New Orleans. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Mission in Poplarville and a member of the Knights of Columbus, Council 15121.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Linda Esler Arceneaux.

Family members include three children, Sidney J. Arceneaux, III (Andrea Arceneaux) of Bogalusa, LA, Barry Arceneaux (Melissa Chatelain) of River Ridge, LA, Amy Turner of Carriere, MS; eight granchildren, Alexandra, Alyssa, Anjelicca, Alanna, Nicholas Arceneaux and Ashley, Dylan, Ethan Turner; a host of extended family and friends.
