Susie Parris Stringfellow

A native of Poplarville, Mississippi, and the last of the seven Parris Sisters, passed peacefully surrounded by her family.

Born to Tazwell H. and Martha Henley Parris on February 5, 1923. She was a member of First Baptist Church for 86 years and served as outreach leader and a volunteer at the Nursing Home for many years. She was the manager of T.W.L. Variety Store for 26 years and a member of the Order of Eastern Star.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her loving husband of 74 years, T.G. "Andy" Stringfellow; and six sisters, Laurie Simmons, Lavonia Burge, Letha Jones, Jessie Carpenter, Otera Graeber, and Bobbie Parris.

Left to cherish her memory are her loving daughters, Rebecca Jones (John Long) of Paris, Texas, Laura Ryle, and Patricia Stewart (Wade), both of Poplarville, Mississippi; five grandchildren; four great grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.

She was a friend to many and those who knew her, loved her.

A special "Thank You" to the wonderful and caring staff at Pearl River County Hospital who could not have done more for our precious Mother.

Funeral services will be held at White Funeral Home, 315 Highway 11 South, Poplarville, MS, 39470 on Wednesday, March 20, 2019 at 11:00 am. Rev. Kipp Smith and Rev. Ken Rhodes will officiate the service. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends and have visitation one hour prior to the service, Wednesday at the funeral home.
