Timothy "Timmy" Wayne Watkins

Timothy Wayne “Timmy” Watkins departed this life into God’s presence on Saturday, January 06, 2024 at the age of 57. He was born in Picayune, Mississippi on May 17, 1966 to Fred Watkins Sr. and Helen Watkins. He was a lifelong resident of Pearl River County where he married the love of his life and raised his family. Timmy worked as a welder and enjoyed woodworking in his spare time. He was a joy to be around and was the “life of the party”. He loved spending time with his family and friends and adored his dogs, Baby, Raerae and Bit Bit.

In addition to his parents, Timmy is preceded in death by his son, Mitchel Kopszywa; his brother, Scottie Watkins and his two sisters, Claudia and Becky Watkins.

Left to forever cherish his memory are his loving wife of 36 years, Shelly Kopszywa; his daughter Michele Watkins (Delarence “Red” Hunt); his son, Micheal Kopszywa (Tiffany Penton) and his grandchildren, Gabriel, Nikolai, Orion, Kaylnn and the rest of his grandchildren that he loved with all of his heart; his brother, Fred “Peanut” Watkins; his in-laws, Henry and Carole Kopszywa; Cody Watkins, Abby Cheramie, Brittany Martin and all of his many other nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, January 20, 2024 at College Heights Baptist Church (405 Highway 11 N. Poplarville, Mississippi 39470) at 12:00 PM. Friends are invited to join the family for visitation from 11 until the service begins.
