Virgie Smith Rawls

Mrs. Rawls was born May 16, 1930 in Kokomo, Mississippi to Robert M. Smith and Mary Lee Terrell Smith. She was a retired cosmetologist and a member of Murray Hill Church of God.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, Edgar Hollis Rawls; one son, Robert Allen Rawls; seven siblings, Luther Smith, Howard Smith, Harold L. Smith, Recy L. Smith. Ruby Smith Martin, Stella Smith Parker, Velma Smith Stockwell.

Family members include three sons, Rickey (Freda Rester Rawls) Rawls, Ronnie D. Rawls, Paul Michael (Beverly Rawls) Rawls; three siblings, Kathleen Hammond, Rachel Dubose, Thomas (Esther) Smith; seven grandchildren, Josh Rawls, Jessica Goff, Brett Kennedy, Kristi Dease, Stefanie Barnett, Paul Michael Rawls, Lee Rawls; and eighteen great grandchildren.

Graveside funeral services will be held at Ford's Creek Cemetery (2752 Ford's Creek Rd, Poplarville, MS, 39470) on Monday, December 21, 2020 at 2:00 pm.
