Virginia Head

Funeral services will be 10:00 am Wednesday July 13, 2011 at Oak Hill Baptist Church, Poplarville for Mrs. Virginia Head, 74, of Poplarville, Mississippi who died Saturday July 9, 2011 in the Pearl River County Hospital. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

She was a homemaker and a member of Oak Hill Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband, J.D. Head, of Poplarville, MS; one son, David Head, of Perkinston, MS; three daughters, Pamela McDonald of Kearney, NE, Sandra Perio of Bastrop, TX, and Christina Strahan of Poplarville, MS; one brother, OBrian Hodge of Poplarville, MS; four sisters, Shirlene Davis of Poplarville, MS, Linda Alexander of McNeil, MS, Peggy Smith, and Patsy R. Phelps, both of Poplarville, MS; ten grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Cullen and Ruthie Hayes-Hodge; and two sisters, Charlene Ladner and Gail Tynes.

Visitation will be 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Tuesday July 12, 2011 at White Funeral Home, Poplarville and one hour prior to the services on Wednesday at the church.
