Virginia M. Ladner

April 17, 1944 – October 31, 2020
Obituary of Virginia M. Ladner
IN THE CARE OF

White Funeral Home

Virginia Muriel Ladner, 76, of Poplarville, went to be with her Heavenly Father on October 31, 2020. She was born on April 17, 1944 to the late L.V. “Shine” Ladner and Bernelia A. Ladner.

Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Ronald D. Ladner and one brother, Robert L. “Bubba” Ladner.

Virginia was the older sister of Shirlene Rouse, Floyce Peterson, and Bonnie Head of Poplarville who knew her as “Sissy” or “Jenner” and was Aunt Jenner to many nieces and nephews. She is survived by her three children, Gail Ladner, Keith (Hannah) Ladner, Becky (Bobby) Evans; three “Grands”, Jessica (Dustin) Hariel, Jordan Evans, Sara Ladner; three “Great Grands”, Jaken Hariel, Baron Hariel, and Rosie Ellis.

Virginia will be remembered for her deep love and passion for her home, community, and most of all the amount of love she carried for her family. Her home in which she resided 55 years was her pride and had a kitchen that was always open to all. She enjoyed many hobbies: such as sewing, canning, antique collecting, and gardening - for which she had a very green thumb. Throughout her life, she enjoyed the company of many pets and loved her cats and dogs very much. She loved people and cherished her neighbors. She was known among many of them for her signature homemade coconut cakes that she would make and deliver, periodically. Virginia served as a faithful member of Community Baptist Church and will be missed by all who knew her.

Funeral services will be held at Community Baptist Church (33 Community Church Rd, Poplarville, MS, 39470) on Wednesday, November 4th, 2020 at 2:00 pm. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends and have visitation after 6:00 pm on Tuesday at the church.
