Vondell Owens Wallace

She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Henry Sones and Laura Sones; parents, Wilmer Sones and Odell Sones Ladner; one aunt, Frances Lucille Sones; three brothers, Henry Lavelle Sones, Lonnie Sones and Laney Paul Sones and one sister, Peggy Sones Tillman.

Left to forever cherish her memory are her three children, Robert M. Owens (Elizabeth) of Greenfield, MA, Timothy Owens (Karen) of Poplarville, MS and Michelle Owens of Poplarville, MS; six grandchildren, Nicole Cisse (Lamine) of Greenfield, MA, Danielle Owens, of Greenfield, MA, Deanna Owens Jones (Angela) of Poplarville, MS, Leslie Turner (Kyle) of Greenfield, MA, Kalyn Pullens (Nolan) of Poplarville, MS, and Garrett Owens (Julie) of Poplarville, MS; eight great-grandchildren, Oumar Cisse, Ryan Turner, Jamey Owens, Parker Pullens, Waylon Owens, Easton Turner, Pepper Pullens and Anderson Owens Jones; two siblings, Larry Sones, Sr. of Poplarville, MS and Laura Dianne Wells (Archie) of Poplarville, MS.

The family would like to send a special thank you to her caregiver/friend, Tanjala Perez and Arden Hospice and their team for the care and support they have shown, and to Vondell's longtime primary Dr. Angela Jones.

Family and friends are invited to attend Vondell's visitation on Monday, June 16, 2025 at Oak Hill Pentecostal Church, 604 Oak Hill Road, Poplarville, MS, from 2:00 pm until 4:00 pm. Funeral services will begin at 4:00 pm. Burial to follow in Oak Hill Cemetery.
