Mr. Wesley Lamar Winstead

Memorial services will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday September 1, 2011 at White Funeral Home, Poplarville for Mr. Wesley Lamar Winstead, 30, of Sumrall, Mississippi who died Friday August 26, 2011 at his residence.

He was born May 1, 1981 in Hattiesburg and graduated from Sumrall High School where he enjoyed playing football and baseball.

Survivors include his parents, Carl and Marsha Winstead of Sumrall, MS; one sister, Tracy Johnson and her husband Heath of Poplarville; two nephews, Cole Johnson and Hill Johnson; one niece, Sage Johnson; grandmothers, Maxine Hillman of Sugar Land, Texas and Blanche Winstead of Jackson, MS; and numerous aunts, uncles and extended family.

He is preceded in death by his Grandfathers, Grady Lamar Hillman and Charles Winstead.

Wes loved nothing more than fishing and hunting with his family or laughing in the company of good friends. He was always ready with an offer of a helping hand and a strong back, but never missed an opportunity to be out on a boat in the water. His sweet personality, quick wit, contagious smile will be sorely missed by his loving family and friends.
