Willis was a life long member of Amacker Town Community, and a volunteer firefighter for Amacker Town Fire Department and a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. He was a great husband and father and will be missed dearly.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Daniel C Wheat and Josephine Farr Wheat and six siblings.
Willis is survived by his wife Frances Wheat of 28 years; three children, Alvin Moran (Cheryl), Sharon Giddens (Jeff) and Lynn Womack (Patrick); two siblings, James D. "J.D." Wheat (Priscilla) and Myra Lee Dawsey; numerous grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
A graveside service for Willis will be held Friday, July 5, 2019 at 1:00 PM at Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery, 7451 HIGHWAY 43 N, Poplarville, MS.
