Ana Klemencic Arbanas

Predeceased by her husband Ivan (1997), a daughter in infancy and sister-in-law Anna Klemencic, she is survived by her sons: John, George (Patsy), Tom (Marcia) and Rick; grandchildren: Kevin, Katrina and Krystan (Allison), Shauna and James (Lisa), Michael (Beth) and Faylen; great grandchildren: Emylee, Ella, Lucy and Jack as well as one brother Frank Klemencic and many other nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Ana was born in Croatia and moved to Canada with her husband and 3 sons in 1966. Ana loved to cook and entertain in the old traditional Croatian way. Gardening was her main hobby and she’s been collecting heirloom seeds and fruits for years. She also loved gathering with family at Sproat Lake. For Ana, her family was everything to her and she will be deeply missed.

Prayers will be offered at 7:00pm on Friday, June 14, 2013 from the Chapel of Memories Funeral Home, 4005-6th Avenue. A Funeral Mass will take place at 2:00pm on Saturday, June 15, 2013 at Notre Dame Roman Catholic Church, 4731 Burke Rd with Fr. Stephen Paine officiating. Interment to follow in St. Peter’s Cemetery.
