Barbara Ann Robson

Barbara is predeceased by foster son Paul, parents Ed and Rose Byrne as well as brother Robert.

She is survived by her devoted husband Roland, children: Jim (Chantal) and Jennifer, grandchildren Corrina, Jeremy and Nicholas and siblings: Michael, Edward, Ronald, Linda, Allan, Patrick, Gerard, David, Lillian, Daniel and Cecilia.

As the oldest daughter in a large household, Barb learned early to care and look out for others and throughout her life, this continued. Whether she was advocating for and supporting her foster children, encouraging her own children, or simply trying to manage the farm, she approached life with a sense of adventure and enthusiasm, tempered with love and compassion and a strong sense of justice, never backing down from a challenge. We will truly miss you.

A celebration of her life will be held at 1:00pm on Saturday, January 11, 2014 at the Chapel of Memories Funeral Home, 4005 6th Avenue. Cremation has taken place. Stories and condolences may be forwarded to the family by visiting www.chapelofmemories.ca. Flowers are gratefully declined.
