Predeceased by her son Jim Laing, she is survived by her children: Carol Dupuis, Ron Laing, Trish Littlejohn and Joe Paquet, one sister Ronnie Meadows of New Brunswick as well as many grandchildren, great grandchildren and other relatives and friends.
Betty enjoyed cribbage, writing, travelling and spending time with the people she loved. A secretary for Domtar and Parks and Recreation. She also worked as a part time substitute teacher and volunteered with the Salvation Army.
A celebration of her life will take place between 2:00 – 4:00 pm on Friday, January 21, 2011 at the Tyee Village Dugout Restaurant, 4151 Redford St. Cremation.
