Bruce Allan Cameron

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of a “really great guy”, Bruce Allan Cameron born Feb 29, 1956, “a leap year baby” Bruce passed away unexpectedly, in his home on Sept 06, 2025, at the age of 69.

Predeceased by his parents, Allan and Elizabeth Cameron, the oldest of four children, Bruce is survived by his former spouse, Holly and their beloved children, Devon (Brianna), Amber (Ben) and cherished grandchild Jameson Allan Cameron, also his siblings Alanna, Rob (Kim) and Jennifer, his dear nephews Huai-en (Ashley) and Houng-Yuin, along with his Aunts and many cousins.

Bruce was born and raised in Port Alberni and returned to the valley after a short military career as an intelligence officer, a career that provided him the opportunity to live in most of Canada’s provinces. He went on to become a Machinist and then later a Computer Technician leading him to the new adventure of self-employment. Bruce had a brilliant mind; he loved computers, motorbikes and all things mechanical; there was nothing he could not repair. He also had a great love for his family, wildlife, nature, and all of its beauty.

Bruce and his soft, generous heart, thoughtful and kind nature, along with his abundant knowledge of all things will be greatly missed; he will never be gone from our hearts.
